Rick Kearby Giving Gifts Project
Family and friends of the Rick Kearby Giving Gifts Project continue to serve Southern California hospice programs by making "no-sew" blankets and scarves. These "no-sew" fleece quilts are easy and fun to do with family (Hint: ideal for little hands)
To donate or join our December 5 blanket party, contact Jill or Judy. Thank you!
~ 2015 Blanket Party ~
It's time for the 21st annual blanket making party on Saturday, December 5, 2015. If you're in the OC area (Trabuco Canyon) please stop by to make a blanket, meet us, learn more about the Rick Kearby Giving Gifts Project, and just mingle with us!
It's been a busy year of making jewelry, cork danglers, doing art workshops, and anyting krafty to raise money for this project. And a special thank you to our friends and family for support and donations.
The Rick Kearby Giiving Gifts Project was started by the Kearby Family in remembrance of our brother and son, Rick Kearby to give back to the programs that helped our brother. We now give back to people in hospice as well as mothers and children. The blankets continue to be the best gift, especially since they're made with love.
Our deadline is quickly approaching and we need your help. We supply handmade blankets, tolietries, clothing, and holiday turkeys to each hospice center. We provide gifts to hospice programs and shelters for women and children including the Serra Project, CHOISS, Laura's House, Senior Services of Orange County, and whomever asks for our help.
Get involved! Make a blanket, host a blanket making party, collect items or donate supplies to make blankets. Anything you can do or donate would be greatly appreciated.
Gift deliveries will be in a week before Christmas, so feel free to contact Jill or Judy for ideas of how to become involved. Your donations of blankets or items can dropped off or picked up, just contact Jill. Big thanks to our longtime volunteers and to our new ones, too!
